The NCM, with the support of Homeland Missions, is very active in helping people with immediate needs.   Last year the ministry provided funds for  individuals that were struggling to pay electric bills, rent, or food.  The ministry was also involved in a joint effort between various churches within our community to provide weekend lunches for children of low income families.  In addition, the ministry recruited workers for yard clean-ups, house clean-ups, moving furniture, basic home repairs, hospital visitation's and visitations for the elderly.

  Upcoming Opportunities:

Royal Family Night Out: Every 3rd Thursday

JBC  hosts a once-monthly night out for people in our community who foster children (including grandparents and other relatives), to give them a break for an evening.  We are seeing more and more parents who are fostering children take advantage of this opportunity to have some alone time&. and our number of kids are growing rapidly.  We need more helpers in order to not have to turn any children away.   A mandatory two-hour training is provided for all volunteers.*

*For all adults interested in participating in this once-monthly ministry, contact Margo 541-740-6278 or Tracy 503-769-3377.
